Yes, for example not all industries require references. However may require other types of check such as certificate checks
This can be very quick. We have received all compliance checks back within 48 hours. However this is dependent on how quick people respond to our request and in particular how quick police checks are actioned through the DBS service.
The process will vary for each role. Here is an example of a process for clearing a childcare candidate. We ask for a fully completed application form including full work history with a minimum 10 year work history – including information on gaps in work we will need the candidate to provide a minimum of 2 references, one being the most recent employer we will need the candidate to share information on the relevant certificate they hold so this can be checked against the DFE approved list.We will require RTW checks to be completed.
Employment law, regulatory bodies e.g Ofsted, and we will work with the company to ascertain what their specific industry legal requirements are.

This information will be shared directly with the company .We will also ask the employee to bring in the actual certificates / documents to check actual paperwork This saves the company the time to collate the relevant information.
